About Michelle
Michelle Hjelle is a photographic artist who is dedicated to creating timeless works of photographic art. She treasures time connecting to her subjects on personal level and every session creates an opportunity to not only produce art, but to form warm friendships with her clients. Her goal is simply create the highest quality products she can produce with meticulous attention to every detail and reveal the beauty that is each person.
Michelle discovered her love of photography at a young age. A new world evolved when she received her first camera in 6th grade and culminated into a business when her youngest child attended kindergarten in 2005.
Since then, she has studied with award-winning photographers throughout the country. Michelle is a member of Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Iowa, and American Society of Photographers. In 2010, she earned her degree with PPA as a Certified Professional Photographer. Michelle received her Master of Photography degree from PPA in January 2017. She has received several photographic awards with PPA and PPI and in 2024, Michelle received the 2023 Northcentral District award with ASP. Michelle continues to excel in her field by staying on top of the latest trends with ongoing education.
In addition to running her studio, Michelle is a full-time wife and mother to her two children.
