From my memories 6 years ago today. We were blessed with the bestest girl for 15 years. ❤️ This portrait resides in our family room. Don’t forget to capture images of every family member. You will never regret it.❤️ Believe it or not, in this case, I placed Riley in this position, went to the camera and she stayed there.😂 Seriously, the bestest girl!☺️

This evaluation of my image I’ve Got My Eye On You” gave me so much joy. 🥰 I’ve listened to it over and over.☺️

My husband and I spent the last several days in Dallas at Imaging USA, PPA’s national photography convention. I received two bronze awards in International Photographic Competition for my Images titled “Go Away Bouquet” (the story is about that single bud away from the rest of the bouquet 😊) and “I’ve Got My Eye On You.”

I joined this group this time last year and I so enjoyed their programs, I am so excited for another year of learning opportunities with them! 😊

This was an image of mine during 2024 competition season, “Growing Up Rosy.” 🥰
This last Monday, I spent 5 1/2 hours on a zoom meeting prepping with fellow PPI members for the upcoming competition season, which is rapidly approaching.
On occasion, I find myself asking, “Why am I still doing this?” And I guess the answer deep down is I like it, I like the challenge. I’m competing with myself. I’m trying to learn more. I know sooo many amazing photographers that possess skills that surpass my own. I want to be the best that I can be, for both me and for the sake of my customers. If I had not participated in print competition, I would have stayed in the same place, not that that’s a bad thing. I just wouldn’t have been challenged enough and probably wouldn’t be as happy with myself.
I already have aspirations for new goals after this year, just something else I want to learn for myself. Here’s to the 2025 competition season.🥂
